It is a water-based solution of hydrogen gas, colorless with a distinctive smell, also known as muriatic acid.
It is also the main component of gastric acid, an acid produced naturally in the human stomach to help digest food.

How to use
- Use Hydrochloric acid as an activator for Sodium chlorite.
- Mix in a 1:1 ratio with Sodium chlorite unless stated otherwise.
- Wait 30 seconds for the activation process.
- Always mix in a clean dry drinking glass.
- Tilt the glass slightly sideways if a few drops are mixed.
- Solution should turn amber in colour.
- When activated, always mix with distilled water when indigested. Never use tap water.
- Drink your dose while fresh, in less than one minute.
- Solution can be stored in an airtight bottle for a daily bottle dose.
Caution
- Wear safety goggles when working with HCl.
- Wear chemical protective gloves when handling.
- Toxic if inhaled. Open the bottle in a ventilated area. It may cause coughing & shortness of breath.
- May cause a burning sensation if HCl comes in contact with the eyes. Rinse eyes immediately with water for several minutes.
- May cause redness or itching with skin contact. Rinse the affected area with water.
- Remove any clothing or jewelry that came in contact with the acid.
- 4% is a very weak concentration and should not do serious damage if accidentally spilled.
- Do not switch bottle lids with other solutions.
- Do not use the same pipette for Sodium chlorite and HCl, unless rinsed thoroughly.
- Use chilled water to improve the taste.
- Never use Hydrochloric acid undiluted.
